We are an Australian female farmer of colour led business who has established an orchard of native food plants for sustainable harvest on Yorta Yorta Country in the sunny Goulburn Valley.
The sourcing of plants from Indigenous led nurseries was initially limited by access and availability. We now source plants from mob on Bundjalung Country, in which there is a restricted region from where Strawberry Gum originates.
We started with a conventional farm block which had been cleared, tilled, sprayed, and trodden on with hooved animals for four generations. A wide perimeter is currently being revegetated with Indigenous plants and other native edible, fibre, and medicine plants to create a native food forest and habitat.
